In partnership with the Washington State Fire Fighters' Association and funded by a 2008 SAFER (Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response) grant administered by FEMA, CTI will redesign the statewide volunteer firefighter recruiting program. The goal is to improve general recruiting and retention rates while focusing on specific demographics such as youth and specific minority populations. The plan is to develop and deploy a four year multimedia campaign to reach these audiences in comprehensive, effective, fresh ways.
