Fire Safety for Kids blends important fire prevention lessons for children with the magnetism of controlled “virtual communities” and multi-user games in a graphical environment based on a rural Alaskan village..

Launching in September 2008, Fire Safety for Kids is a “sister world” to Whyville, the Internet’s top “learning world” for kids.  While Fire Safety for Kids is set in a rural Alaskan village, the fire prevention and safety lessons it teaches are appropriate for kids everywhere.

Funding from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program also helped make Fire Safety for Kids possible.
